Reservation Policy

Drake Landing is now offering private lessons for Sporting Clays. The Focus. The Thrill. The Challenge. There's nothing quite like the excitement of hitting a moving clay target! If you're a beginner shooter who needs to improve, we can provide you with private instruction. • Bachelor Degree in Engineering
• Worked 31 years for Remington Arms Company in various engineering divisions.
• Lead instructor for the Remington Clay Shooting School for eight years. Began teaching in 1995.
• Earned Level I, Level II & Level III certifications for teaching with the National Sporting Clays Association.
• After retiring from Remington, went to work for Orvis Company, Inc. as the lead instructor for their clay and wing shooting schools at Millbrook, NY and Adairsville, GA.
• Worked for 9 years as Director of the Barnsley Resort Shooting Club before moving to NC to become the General Manager @ Drake Landing.

1. Any of the following rules that are not followed will be grounds for immediate expulsion from the ranges.   
2. If you have consumed alcohol within eight hours or under the influence of prescribed or illegal narcotics, you will not be allowed to shoot on the ranges. 
3. Treat every firearm as if it were loaded even after you have determined it is unloaded. 
4. Never point the firearm at anything you do not intend to shoot.
5. Keep your finger straight and off of the trigger until you are on your target ready to fire. 
6. If your firearm has a safety, keep the safety engaged until you are ready to fire. 
7. Know your target and always consider its background.
8. All personnel on the course must wear protective shooting glasses and ear protection at all times.
